Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has become quite the saviour at the club following the tumultuous term of his predecessor Massimo Cellino.

He has endeared himself even more to the supporters by making good on his promise that he will repurchase Elland Road.

The ground has been Leeds' home since 1919, but due to financial woes in 2004, the owners sold it for £8m.

The deal included a 25-year lease and also a buy-back clause believed to be set at £17m, but over the past 13 years, no owner has paid the sum to repurchase.

Radrizzani claimed in January when he took an initial 50% stake in the club that he would buy back Leeds' home, and just a few weeks after taking full control of the Championship outfit, the huge news was announced on the official website.

The Whites have confirmed that improvements to the stadium will be made before the new season gets underway in August.

As expected, fans were delighted with the news, and many showered their owner with praise.
