Leeds United fans give mixed reactions to new kit

Over the last few weeks, clubs up and down the country have been unveiling their kits for the 2017-18 season.

Leeds United are the latest club to do so, and it is safe to say that not every fan is impressed.

The Championship outfit have stuck to their traditional white strip, but the club emblem and sponsors are now embossed in gold.

Kit sponsor and manufacturer Kappa also has its logo painted gold, and the trademark runs down each side of the shirt.

Many supporters have also noticed that the fabric looks rather snug, with Pontus Jansson’s torso looking very noticeable in the official promo.

This is an important season for Leeds as they attempt to build on last season’s efforts, which saw them narrowly miss out on a playoff spot.

They head into the 2017-18 campaign with a new majority owner in Andrea Radrizzani, as well as a new head coach in Thomas Christiansen following Garry Monk’s decision to walk away.

It has been a good start to Radrizzani’s term as he has brought in a handful of players already and kept his word that he would buy back Elland Road.

Leeds fans will hope that the good news keeps coming into the season.
