Leeds United fans are hopeful that young goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell will get more game time now that he has signed a new contract.

On Sunday, the Whites announced on their official website that the 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal until the summer of 2020.

Peacock-Farrell joined Leeds' academy in 2013 from Middlesbrough, and has slowly been forcing his way into the first team.

The youngster made one appearance in 2016 against Queens Park Rangers, and was named among the substitutes numerous times during the closing stages of last season.

Garry Monk was in charge at that time, but now the team will be led by Thomas Christiansen, who will need to be impressed by Peacock-Farrell before giving him a chance.

The fans are happy with the club's decision to hand the shot-stopper a new deal, and many are hopeful that he can get more first-team minutes under his belt during the 2017-18 Championship season.
