Leeds United fans slam Pawel Cibicki after Leicester City loss

Leeds United were knocked out of the EFL Cup at the fourth round stage after losing 3-1 against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, and Whites fans weren’t impressed with striker Pawel Cibicki’s performance.

The 23-year-old was handed just his second appearance โ€“ having started the win against Burnley in the previous round โ€“ for the club following his summer move from Malmo, but the centre-forward failed to stake his claim for a regular spot in Thomas Christiansen’s side after struggling to make an impact against Premier League opposition.

While Pablo Hernandez had given the Yorkshire outfit the lead, goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Islam Slimani and Riyad Mahrez saw them fail to reach the quarter-finals of the competition and they will now concentrate on the Championship promotion race.

Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on Cibicki’s showing via social media, and while some described it as “useless”, others “donโ€™t know what he brings to the team”.
