According to reports in The Mirror, Leeds United are reportedly targeting a move for Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper David Stockdale this summer.
Even though the stopper has played an influential role for the Seagulls as they have secured their first-ever promotion to the Premier League this term, he is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to sign a new deal with the south coast outfit.
That news has caught the attentions of the likes of Leeds and Middlesbrough, but whether the 31-year-old will want to stay in the Championship if Garry Monk’s side fail to make the play-offs remains to be seen.
Whites supporters were quick to have their say on the rumoured interest in the Leeds-born keeper via social media, and they have urged the club to bring him to Elland Road to provide competition for Rob Green.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction to the link…
Brighton would be silly to let David Stockdale go for free at the end of the season. Leeds would be silly not to make an offer. #lufc
