Leeds United managed to keep their place at the top of the Championship table on goal difference, but they did it the hard way against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Christiansen's side took the lead inside the first 15 minutes when Pierre-Michel Lasogga struck after latching onto Conor Shaughnessy's pass.

Ipswich responded on the half-hour mark, but the Whites immediately bounced back through Kalvin Phillips two minutes later.

A bizarre own goal from Bartosz Bialkowski put Leeds 3-1 up, but Joe Garner made the final 20 minutes nervy for the home side at Elland Road after making it 3-2.

The Yorkshire outfit managed to see out the game to take all three points, but fans felt that Pontus Jansson's absence was very notable.

After the match, Christiansen revealed that the defender was fit and available, but the manager decided not to select him.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter, the fans are desperate for the Swede to come back into the side.
