Danny Welbeck made his first Arsenal start in 291 days today in the FA Cup against Southampton and certainly returned with a bang, scoring a brace as the Gunners eased on to a 5-0 victory against their fellow Premier League outfit.
The former Manchester United man has struggled with injury problems since arriving in North London but will hope to turn things around.
An overused phrase in football, like a new signing, is certainly applicable here as Welbeck’s return gives Arsenal another excellent option in attack and former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker is hoping to see Welbeck continue to rise.
He's got a lot of game has Welbeck. Let's hope his luck changes on the injury front.

Last enjoying a big moment in the Premier League last year with a last-gasp winner over eventual champions Leicester City to keep Arsenal’s hopes of success alive, Welbeck is certainly a man for the moment and Arsenal have him returning at the right time.
With key matches against Chelsea and Bayern Munich on the horizon, Arsenal need Welbeck at his best and he could still improve further.
