England came from behind to secure a 2-1 win against Slovakia and move a step closer to qualifying for the 2018 World Cup at Wembley on Monday night, and Liverpool fans would have been keeping a close eye on new signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Three Lions came into the clash knowing that a victory would leave them on the brink of securing an automatic spot at Russia next summer, but they got off to the worst possible start when Stanislav Lobotka gave the visitors a third minute lead.

Goals from Eric Dier and Marcus Rashford meant that Gareth Southgate’s men took all three points, but Oxlade-Chamberlain was far from impressive and the BBC's chief football writer Phil McNulty only awarded the 23-year-old a match rating of 4/10 as a result.

Liverpool supporters were quick to have their say on the showing of the £35m buy via social media, with some even going as far as describing him as a "disaster".
