Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Roberto Firmino is an injury doubt for Sunday’s Premier League clash against West Ham United, but some fans are not worried if he misses out.
The Merseyside outfit’s final two games of the season are crucial in their pursuit of a Champions League spot.
As it stands, the Reds are third in the table, four points above fifth-placed Arsenal, but Arsene Wenger’s men have a game in hand.
Manchester United also have an extra match and are five points behind, but they face second-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the North London outfit’s final game at White Hart Lane this weekend – a tough one to win.
During this morning’s press conference, Klopp told reporters that both Firmino and Lucas Leiva are injury doubts, but neither have been ruled out as yet.
Klopp: "Roberto felt a muscle – we have to wait and give him time. Lucas will train today. Roberto will train tomorrow if possible." pic.twitter.com/3oB5X7WNcu

Firmino has been a regular feature in Liverpool’s attack this season, playing in all but two of the Reds’ Premier League games.
The Brazilian has scored 11 goals and registered six assists in the top flight, and while some supporters are concerned that he could miss the trip to the London Stadium, others think that his absence paves the way for a positive formation change, with Daniel Sturridge handed a rare start.
Bringing in Sturridge for Firmino may not be a bad thing – Firmino looks like he's run out of battery at the moment.

That’s it. No majorly shocking revelations. Firmino having a muscle injury isn’t ideal. Plus ca change.

Now that Sturridge is ready to start, of course Firmino had to turn into a doubt for the weekend. But of course.

@vernievalentos Yeah Firmino was very quiet last week but we need him against West Ham along with Lucas

@Only__LFC Firmino has good work rate but he leaves us toothless upfront.
And Origi is too raw to do something.
Sturridge is our only hope now.

Firmino and Lucas doubts? Could force Klopp into a diamond, which I'm all for:

Firmino being missing on Sunday won't be as big a problem as many think, barely played in his best position last few months.

Firmino is a doubt. Great

Not Firmino a doubt. Anyone but him. Forces too many bad changes. I don't want Lallana back then he's forced out wide.
