Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored his first goal for the club following his summer move from Arsenal in the 7-0 win against NK Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and Reds fans were quick to have their say on the player.

The 24-year-old has only made one start for the Merseyside outfit since moving to Anfield from the Gunners towards the end of the summer transfer window, and he perhaps would have expected to be named in Jurgen Klopp's team to face the Slovenian club on Tuesday following an impressive cameo against Manchester United on Saturday.

However, while the England international had to make do with being a 57th minute substitute, he did get off the mark in a red shirt when he tapped home from Daniel Sturridge's pass.

Liverpool supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on his performance and goal, and while some said they "always believed in him", others feel he is "still such a weak player".
