Mohamed Salah struggled to make his mark at Chelsea after earning a move to Stamford Bridge in 2014, but it does appear that the 25-year-old is going to get another crack at the Premier League.

It is understood that Liverpool have agreed a deal with Roma to sign the 52-time Egypt international, who has been given permission to travel to England for a medical.

Salah, who made his name with Swiss outfit Basel, only made 13 Premier League appearances for Chelsea between 2014 and 2016, scoring just twice in the process.

The attacker has managed 34 goals for Roma over the last two seasons, however, including 19 in 41 appearances for the Italian giants during the 2016-17 campaign.

It is always a risk signing a player that has previously struggled to make his mark in that division, but it appears that Liverpool supporters are very much in favour of the deal.

Indeed, in the aftermath of suggestions that Salah was on the verge of moving to Anfield, Liverpool fans took to Twitter tor reveal their delight.
