Ben Woodburn might only be 17, but the attacker has already featured nine times for Liverpool's first team, all of which came during the 2016-17 campaign.

The Englishman managed one goal in nine appearances for the Reds last term, and his involvement during this pre-season suggests that head coach Jurgen Klopp sees the teenager as part of his plans entering next month's Premier League kickoff.

Woodburn, who came through the club's youth academy, started Liverpool's Premier League Asia Trophy clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday, and it would be fair to say that the attacker's performance made a big impression on the club's supporters.

At the time of this article, the match was still in the first period, but the Liverpool fans had already seen enough from Woodburn to suggest that he could play a key role for the Reds next season.

At least a couple more players are expected to arrive at Liverpool in this summer's transfer window, but Woodburn could save the club a lot of money in the future.
