Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero returned to training earlier this week after recovering from the rib injury that he suffered in a car crash in Amsterdam.

It had initially been thought that the 29-year-old, who was injured when his taxi crashed into a lamp post towards the end of last month, was facing at least two months on the sidelines, but he resumed light training on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Man City posted a video of the Argentine returning to the training field, and as expected, the club's supporters were on hand to reveal their delight.

The Citizens did not need Aguero to beat Chelsea before the international break, but there is no question that the Argentine will play a big role in any success that might arrive during the 2017-18 campaign.

Next up for City is a Premier League match at home to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon, before welcoming Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Having not initially been expected to return until 2018, Aguero, who is rated at £58.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, is closing on a return, and the City supporters are absolutely delighted.
