Man United fans absolutely loved Liverpool’s draw

Liverpool have suffered a big blow to their ambitions of a top four finish in the English Premier League after a dismal 0-0 draw at home to Southampton this afternoon.

The Reds had the chances to win the game, most notably through a penalty taken by James Milner, which was saved by the giant Fraser Forster.

It means Manchester United now have the initiative in the race for UEFA Champions League positions, five points behind with two games in hand, ahead of their huge game at the Emirates later today.

Jurgen Klopp’s men fought to the death of the game, hitting the bar in injury time, but ultimately couldn’t break down a dogged Southampton defence that did well to shut down the Liverpool frontline.

With just two games left for Liverpool, they really need to pick up maximum points against West Ham and Middlesbrough or risk seeing their season come off the rails right at the end of the campaign.

Manchester United fans were of course delighted and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
