The Portuguese decided to heavily rotate the team ahead of Wednesday night's big showdown with Ajax in the UEFA Europa League final and it paid off as they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over Crystal Palace.

21 year old Josh Harrop scored on his debut having been given the responsibility of finding goals, netting in the 15th minute with a surging run and classy finish. Four minutes later Paul Pogba put United in cruise control with the second.

Supporters of every club love seeing young players make the breakthrough into the first team and the performance of Mourinho's kids thrilled Man United fans around the world.

United of course have a long history of blooding youngsters in the first team and if Mourinho can start bringing academy talent into the first team, it'll be a massive positive.
