As reported by Don Balon, Manchester United have again been linked with a move for Gareth Bale this summer, but Real Madrid are only willing to sell the Welsh international if the Red Devils do a deal for popular goalkeeper David De Gea in return.
It’s long been known that Madrid are huge admirers of the Spanish goalkeeper and it’s become a tradition that when a transfer window opens Madrid are linked heavily with a move.
De Gea is one of, if not the best, goalkeeper in the English Premier League and the Old Trafford faithful recognise just how important he has been to them since joining in 2011.
Bale has found himself down the pecking order at Madrid under Zinedine Zidane and has struggled with injuries over the last year, but has still proven to be an elite player since making the move from Spurs in 2013, scoring 67 goals in 150 appearances.
While the prospect of seeing Bale in a United shirt would be exciting for many Red Devils fans, he could transform their attack after all, most seem unwilling to include their star goalkeeper as part of the deal.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Under no circumstances would I entertain signing Bale if any deal included De Gea. #mufc

United are in the driving seat in any deal between the 2 clubs. Real WANT rid of Bale and I don't think United are that desperate for him.

RM desperate to sell Bale. Also, he will not go elsewhere. We have the upper hand & should negotiate accordingly. No DDG in any deal.

Madrid just don't get it. Do they. They can trade their entire squad but they won't come near DeGea.
