Man United fans predict another draw against Anderlecht

Thursday night brought another draw for Manchester United as the 20-time English champions passed up a lead in their Europa League quarter-final first leg away to Anderlecht to draw 1-1.

On the face of it, the result is one that the club would have taken before kickoff. However, it was another game of missed opportunities for Jose Mourinho’s side, which has harmed their pursuit of the top four in the Premier League during the 2016-17 campaign.

On Friday, Man United’s official Twitter account reminded supporters that the second leg of the last-eight affair would be taking place at Old Trafford next Thursday night.

The thought of another draw was too much for some fans to take, however, with a few taking to social media to air their frustrations with the number of draws throughout the season.

As it transpires, a 0-0 draw next week would actually be enough to take Man United into the semi-finals of the competition, although there is a concern that missed chances in Brussels could come back to haunt them in their pursuit of a position in next season’s Champions League.
