Despite providing five goals and five assists in eight Manchester United appearances this season, Anthony Martial has not been included in the latest France squad.

The former AS Monaco attacker was hardly used by France boss Didier Deschamps at Euro 2016, but it had been thought that the attacker's brilliant start to the 2017-18 campaign would see him return to the international fold.

That was not the case, however, with Martial surprisingly left out of France's upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Belarus respectively.

While the 21-year-old will undoubtedly be disappointed with the news, the same cannot be said for the Man United supporters, who are simply not bothered what happens with France.

Indeed, the Red Devils will travel to Liverpool immediately after the international break, and the club's fans want Martial to be fresh for that particular fixture.

Paul Pogba has also been left out of the France squad, but that decision was taken away from Deschamps as the midfielder continues to battle a hamstring problem.
