On Thursday, Manchester City announced that have released Jesus Navas after four years with the club.

The Spaniard joined in 2013 to much fanfare after impressing for a number of years at Sevilla; his natural pace and flair had made him one of the most feared wide men in Europe.

However, his form after he made the move to England failed to impress and Navas eventually struggled to find the game time necessary to impress.

Ahead of what looks to be a summer of squad rejuvenation, Pep Guardiola has decided to release Navas, along with a number of other former first team players.

With no goals in three years and his form dropping considerably since his impressive first season at the Etihad Stadium, City fans have never really taken Navas to their hearts.
