Manchester United fans hail Pogba’s influence in luring Lukaku to Old Trafford

Paul Pogba has had an interesting first season at Manchester United after he returned to the club from Juventus for a world-record fee of £89m.

He was criticised in some quarters for failing to live up to his staggering price tag, but he displayed world-class ability sporadically throughout the campaign.

The majority of United fans never wavered in their support for the midfielder, and now they have praised him for working off the field.

The 24-year-old has seemingly played a part in convincing Everton striker Romelu Lukaku to join United.

The pair, who have been holidaying in America together, were pictured training at UCLA in Los Angeles, where The Telegraph claims Lukaku was scheduled to undergo a medical ahead of a £75m switch.

The Belgian international was heavily linked to his former club Chelsea, but it looks likely that he will be lining up in the red of Manchester this season.

Plenty of United fans believe that Pogba has played a significant role in landing Lukaku, and some have joked that he has a second job on the side.
