Manchester United fans not happy with Phil Jones after dropped points

Manchester United’s perfect start to the English Premier League season was halted on Saturday after they dropped points away to Stoke City. In an exciting and dramatic 90 minutes, both sides scored two goals apiece to play out an entertaining draw.

It was Stoke who put themselves ahead with Eric Choupo-Moting providing the finishing touch to a classy team goal. Just minutes later though United equalised through Paul Pogba from a corner before Romelu Lukaku put the visitors ahead in the 57th minute.

However, Choupo-Moting would secure a huge point for Mark Hughes’ side with a powerful header from a corner, out-muscling stumbling Red Devils defender Phil Jones to meet the ball at the back post.

Despite still being top of the league on goal difference, it was a disappointing afternoon for United fans and they have put the blame squarely on Jones’ shoulders for his defending which failed to stop Stoke’s second goal.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his contribution…
