According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are set to launch a bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, after accepting that Antoine Griezmann may not be available this summer.
Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban has set off a flurry of rumours, some involving Manchester United.
Reports as early as February suggested that Jose Mourinho was interested in signing Antoine Griezmann from the Madrid club this summer.
While in May, it was revealed that Alexandre Lacazette had agreed terms to join Atletico from Lyon.
However, the proposed transfer ban given to Atletico Madrid has been upheld, meaning that Griezmann is unlikely to leave and Lacazette is unlikely to join.
In a bizarre turn of events, latest reports now suggest that Manchester United will turn their attention to 25-year-old Lacazette. The striker has a market value of £34million according to transfermarkt but United are willing to offer £50million for the Frenchman.
In the wake of this surprising merry-go-round of rumours, Manchester United fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the potential Lacazette signing…

He has openly criticised the style of play this season. If he joins, it will be just for money. I doubt he would buy into jose's philosophy.
