Reports in The Daily Mirror on Tuesday suggested that Manchester United will look to beat Paris Saint Germain to the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international, who is valued at £55million by transfermarkt, is looking to leave the German club this summer and it was reported that Paris Saint Germain had agreed a deal for the 27-year-old worth around £61 million.
However, with no confirmation of any deal being finalised, Manchester United have reportedly entered the ring and are ready to battle the French side for Aubameyang’s signature.
Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli believes that Jose Mourinho has spoken to Aubameyang’s representatives and offered the player a five-year-deal at Old Trafford.
With Wayne Rooney’s future in serious doubt and Zlatan Ibrahimovic possibly heading the same way, United may only be left with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as striking options ahead of the new season.
Manchester United fans took to Twitter upon hearing the Aubameyang rumours to urge the club to sign the superstar and improve their attacking options…

Would be a good signing if true but don't know why we weren't in for Aubameyang

Manchester United would be better off signing Aubameyang. Let Lukaku go to Chelsea.
