Manchester United fans urge Young to make China move

The Chinese Super League has been trying to swoop in and steal a number of high-profile players from the world’s most competitive leagues in recent weeks.

Most fans would be praying for their players to ignore the lure of the staggering wages on offer, but a number of Manchester United supporters hope a certain squad member makes the jump.

According to The Mirror, Ashley Young is seriously considering a switch to Shandong Luneng after being offered a rumoured £16m net in salary.

The winger has been restricted to just four Premier League appearances this season, and only half of those were starts under manager Jose Mourinho.

Young joined the Red Devils from Aston Villa in 2011, and has gone on to make 112 league appearances, but it seems as though his time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end.

John Obi Mikel, Carlos Tevez and Oscar are among the well-known figures that have joined the Chinese league in this window.

Fans have made their thoughts on Young’s potential transfer on Twitter, and they seem more than happy for him to leave.
