Manchester United fans want new contract for Ander Herrera

As reported by The Daily Star, Manchester United are set to offer midfielder Ander Herrera a massive new multi-year contract this summer.

The Spaniard currently has just one year left on his deal at Old Trafford meaning his future at the club is in a precarious place, if contract talks were to break down then the Red Devils could be forced to sell him during this window.

However, The Star say that’s not going to happen with the club prepared to pay him a massive £200,000-per-week, making him one of the highest paid stars at the club. It’s a contract that would span four years and would be worth a staggering £41.6m, according to the paper.

Herrera has emerged as one of the most popular players with the Man United supporters after consistent performances in the middle of the park under Jose Mourinho.

They certainly appear eager to get him signed up to a new deal, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest contract news…
