It is never easy being a Newcastle fan. Not only do you have to deal with under performing teams, behind-the-scenes drama and a bizarre boardroom, you also have to live through transfer windows where promises are made and broken.
While the Toon Army will be pretty delighted with their start to the season, even the most optimistic fan can see that their attacking options lack in Premier league quality.
It is therefore no surprise to see transfer rumours already circulating linking strikers with a January move to St. James’s Park.
Once of these strikers is Danny Ings, who has just come back from an incredibly lengthy injury at Liverpool.
The 25-year-old, who is valued at £7.25million on Transfermarkt, has seen his promising young career spiral downhill through injury and a move to Newcastle could be just what he needs to get his career back on track.
While some Toon fans were excited at the prospect of an Ings arrival, others were more cautious…
Cenk Tosun or a fit Danny Ings in January would be very nice indeed. #NUFC

Unlucky with injuries in past 2 seasons, showed real potential at Burnley. Would he be an improvement on what we currently have??

Whereas Joselu only ever has double figures in the Spanish third division. Ings would definitely be an improvement on what we have.

Has to gain his fitness, he hasn't been fit for 2 years, we can't afford another crock on the books

Danny Ings has only his double figures TWICE in a season in his career to date. He's almost 26 years old. No thanks. #NUFC

I'd more be concerned that he hasn't played in ages – did very well in an average Burnley team during 14-15. His only full season in the PL.
