According to Spanish football writer Pete Jenson, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is looking to sign Real Madrid attacker Lucas Vasquez in this summer’s transfer window.
According to Jenson, Benitez is ‘exploring the possibility’ of bringing the 26-year-old , who he managed during his short spell at Real Madrid, to England.
Vasquez made 50 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions last season – scoring eight times in the process – but he was consistently left out for the big matches.
He is also a three-time Spain international, and has already won two Champions League titles for Los Blancos since stepping into the first-team picture.
Vasquez is said to be frustrated with his lack of starts at the Bernabeu, which has led to suggestions that he could seek pastures new in this summer’s transfer window.
Newcastle supporters are certainly excited by the prospect of a two-time Champions League winner arriving at the club ahead of the new campaign, but it would be fair to say that the club’s fanbase are reserving judgement on a rumour that is in its early stages.

I have never seen this guy player, but he has played about 80 in the last two seasons at RMCF, so he must be good.
