After a number of weeks of speculation, Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie reported on Tuesday that Tammy Abraham is set to join Newcastle United on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
We understand Newcastle are close on Chelsea's Tammy Abraham – loan deal should go through in the next few days, barring any late hitches.

The 19-year-old striker impressed during his loan spell at Bristol City, where he contributed an incredible 26 goals in 48 appearances, helping the Robins secure their place in the Championship.
Premier League new boys Brighton were also reported to be interested in a move for Abraham but it seems like the England under-21 international has chosen to play at St James’ Park next season.
However, the arrival of Abraham on Tyneside could spell the end for Aleksandr Mitrovic, who will likely slip further down the pecking order under Rafael Benitez. The Serbian international made just eleven starts in the Championship last season.
Following the news that one of England’s most promising young stars should be joining their club for the 2017/18 season, Newcastle fans took to Twitter to express their delight…
Tammy Abraham imminent. Happy with that, one more striker needed if complete.
