Newcastle United fans have been giving their verdicts on the club's new kit for the 2017-18 season.

The Magpies will be competing in the Premier League once again after sealing promotion at the first time of asking this season.

Rafael Benitez guided the team to the Championship title, and part of their preparations for the new campaign is creating a new kit.

The North-East outfit unveiled the strip on Wednesday, and this one will be extra special as it marks the club's 125th anniversary.

The Puma-manufactured shirt will have '125 years' stitched underneath the crest in gold and silver.

The classic black and white stripes remain, although there is more of them on the shirt this season, while the numbers and names on the back will be in red.

Plenty of fans are happy with the design, but some are disappointed that the club's sponsor FUN88 is printed in light blue.

After Newcastle revealed the new design, fans flocked to Twitter to give their thoughts.
