Nottingham Forest failed to make it three Championship wins on the bounce as they were beaten 3-1 by Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night, and Forest fans weren’t impressed with right-back Tendayi Darikwa’s performance.
Mark Warburton’s side came into the clash in Berkshire having beaten Burton Albion and Hull City in their previous two league games, but a brace from John Swift and an own goal by Jordan Smith saw them trailing 3-0 to the Royals, before Ben Osborn’s late consolation.
The result means that the Reds haven’t drawn any of their 15 Championship matches this term, with Darikwa putting in one of the most disappointing individual displays on the night.
Nottingham Forest supporters were quick to have their say on his showing via social media, and while some described him as “a liability”, others feel that he is the “weak link at the minute”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…

One thing that will help our defence is leaving Darikwa out…the man is a liability. #nffc

Well I had my doubts but after watching him tonight I've come to the conclusion that Tendayi Darikwa is not a footballer #nffc

That was simply awful #nffc. For the love of all things Football can we please ensure Darikwa never puts on a pair of boots again

Darikwa has been so so poor tonight. We are not really threatening going forward and offering very little from the wings. #NFFC
