Most football fans would agree that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has been in fine form of late.

Since the beginning of the season, the 24-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions for club and country.

Over the past five days, Kane has netted twice for England and both were the only goals in 1-0 victories.

The hitman's strike against Slovenia secured the Three Lions' place in next summer's World Cup in Russia.

On Sunday, Kane converted from the penalty spot in a rather lacklustre triumph over Lithuania, and even though the game was relatively poor, the plaudits still flooded in for the striker.

Former Manchester United and Everton star Phil Neville was one of those figures who praised the Spurs hero during yesterday's somewhat meaningless result.

It appears that not many football fans agreed with his sentiment, instead opting to play down his penalty hit.

Others have grown frustrated with the constant attention around the Tottenham man.
