Leeds United have given their seal of approval after Andrea Radrizzani finalised his takeover of the Championship club.

The Italian had initially owned a 50% stake, with controversial businessman Massimo Cellino owning the rest.

Now, though, Cellino has been bought out, ending his three-year association with the Whites.

The first point of call is likely to be tying manager Garry Monk down to a new contract.

Sky Sports recently reported that the club intend to hand the former Swansea City boss a new one-year deal when his initial 12-month contract expires this summer.

Radrizzani's takeover, which means that he will also become chairman of the club, has been welcomed by the fans.

Leeds came close to sealing a spot in the playoffs, but some unwanted results towards the end of the season meant that they missed out.

Despite this, the club seem to be heading in the right direction and the new ownership signifies that.
