Rangers fans are desperate to sign Louis Moult after blistering Hampden display

Rangers are out of the Scottish League Cup after a determined Motherwell side bested them at Hampden on Sunday, winning the match 2-0.

It’s a major blow to Pedro Caixinha and his team, with the Portuguese now left with serious questions to answer after yet another failure in a big match that the Light Blues had to find victory in.

Stephen Robinson’s Steelmen out fought and out played the Ibrox side across the 90 minutes and fully deserved their win in what was a physical and exciting affair.

The stand out performer on the day was undoubtedly Louis Moult. The lethal English striker fired Motherwell ahead with a poacher’s finish before looping a stunning lob into the net from outside the box, over hapless Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick.

His performance was so good that Light Blues supporters took to Twitter in the aftermath to urge their club to sign him in January.

Moult has been a consistent goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership for years now and many Rangers fans think it’s time for them to make their move…
