Rangers fans delighted by Caixinha’s team for Aberdeen

The stage is set at Pittodrie this lunchtime as Rangers and Aberdeen go through their final preparations for a massive clash that could well decide who finishes second and who ends up in third.

The afternoon has started positively for Gers fans, who are delighted with the team selection from Pedro Caixinha.

The Portuguese has made two changes with Barrie McKay and Andy Halliday dropping out to be replaced by Kenny Miller and Jon Toral.

It’s a bold decision to drop McKay but after a run of poor performances it seems as if it’s a popular one, with most fans reckoning he deserves a spell on the bench. Time will tell whether the Gers have enough creativity to break down Aberdeen, but at least the new Rangers boss knows he has the backing of supporters.

Creativity may be the least of their problems as injuries mean the inexperienced duo of Myles Beerman and David Bates start again in defence, up against one of the most potent attacking outfits in the division.
