In a rather underwhelming season for Rangers, which has seen them fail to pose any threat to their crosstown rivals Celtic, there have been one or two bright sparks, not least the performances of Clint Hill.
The 38-year-old has very quickly become a fan favourite at Ibrox, with his passion and effort evident both on and off the field. However, he became a true club legend in March of this year when he converted a last second equalizer against Celtic.
However, with his years catching up with him and Pedor Caixinha looking at a squad overhaul this summer, Hill has been told he will not be offered a new contract and has to look elsewhere for first team football.
Clint Hill’s departure has been met with disappointment by most at Ibrox, with most understanding that his age probably meant a new contract was unlikely.
However, that didn’t stop fans praising his efforts this year. It is clear to see from the tweets below that Hill will retain legendary status at Rangers for many, many years to come…
