As we discussed earlier today, Rangers face a fight on their hands if they're to keep talented youngster Billy Gilmour at the club.

As Goal reported, Chelsea are set to win the race for the 15 year old after interest from Man City, Man United, Arsenal and a host of European clubs.

They reckon the deal is worth around £500k to the Ibrox club, but that's potentially a drop in the ocean of what they could receive if he realises his potential in Glasgow.

Captain of his age group for Scotland, Gilmour is so young that he'll need to wait until his 16th birthday this summer to complete any switch away from the Gers.

He's a massive talent, as shown in his performances for Rangers' U20s side and for Scotland in the traditional Victory Shield competition.

After training with the first team, there were even suggestions he could become the youngest player to ever turn out for the Light Blues.

If the move to Chelsea is indeed set in stone as Goal report, then that seems unlikely to happen before the summer.

It's fair to say that Rangers fans are not happy at all about the Chelsea interest and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts...
