Sheffield Wednesday fans desperate to say goodbye to Carvalhal

After defeat on the opening day of the Championship season to Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday needed a strong performance in front of their own fans on Saturday. However, that didn’t pan out and fans are again fuming at manager Carlos Carvalhal.

It seems silly to suggest a manager is under pressure just a few games into a league season but Owls fans’ discontent with Carvalhal has rumbled on for the majority of 2017 and it seems more and more are simply losing patience with poor results and performances.

Queens Park Rangers visited Hillsborough on Saturday and came away with a point after a Jamie Mackie opener put Wednesday on the back foot. While Carvalhal’s eventually equalised through Sam Winnall, the 1-1 draw wasn’t the result ambitious supporters were looking for.

With huge matches against Sunderland and Fulham to come over the next week, the fixtures don’t get any easier for the Owls and results need to change soon or fans’ anger will only increase.
