Theo Walcott left Southampton 11 years ago, but if the latest transfer gossip is to be believed, then he could be on his way back to St Mary’s.
The Express reports that the Saints are interested in re-signing the attacker after learning that Arsenal are willing to sell.
The 28-year-old, who has 18 months left on his current contract, has dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates this season, making just three substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Over the course of his 11-year spell at Arsenal, Walcott has regularly been in and out of the team, but he has played just 47 minutes of league action so far in this campaign.
According to The Express, Southampton would pay in the region of £12m to £15m for Walcott, who has scored 107 goals in 388 appearances for Arsenal.
Mauricio Pellegrino’s side are lacking that final product in attack having overseen his team score just five goals in seven league games.
After the report of a potential reunion with Walcott emerged, Southampton fans gave their reactions on Twitter.

Yea,id take Walcott back at #saintsfc but dont see it happening, his wage demands are through the roof and arsenal would probs want over £20m

Love to have Walcott back, he'll have to take a big paycut but if it means he will have regular football again it's a win/win. #saintsfc
