Southampton’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end in disappointing circumstances as they lost 2-0 Watford at St Mary’s on Saturday, and Saints fans were not pleased with the performance of one of their attackers.

Former club-record signing Sofiane Boufal was handed his first Premier League start of the season against the Hornets, but he struggled to make an impact on what was a bad day at the office for all of the players.

The Moroccan featured on both flanks before being replaced by Charlie Austin in the 71st minute, and he is still yet to show the St Mary’s faithful what he is capable of following his move from Lille last summer.

Southampton supporters were quick to have their say on the 23-year-old’s latest showing via social media, and it’s fair to say that they weren’t impressed with many labelling him as a "waste of money" and others saying he should be dropped for the trip to Crystal Palace next weekend.
