Southampton manager Claude Puel will hope to relieve some of the pressure he is coming under when his side face already-relegated Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

Wednesday night’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at St Mary’s means that the club has now failed to score in their last three Premier League matches, while also ensuring that they have netted just 17 goals in 17 home matches this season.

Saints fans have begun to voice their disapproval at the Frenchman’s defensive tactics in recent weeks and he will be desperate to get a win on Teesside against a Boro side that went back down to the Championship after losing 3-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Southampton supporters have been giving their views ahead of the clash, and some even say that they won’t change their opinion on wanting Puel to leave even if they pick up a victory.
