Tottentham Hotspur fans would have been forgiven for expecting an easy afternoon against League Two side Wycombe Wanderers. However, you can never discount how much of a leveller the FA Cup is.
The Chairboys put in a performance worthy of the Premier League against Spurs and in the end were deeply unlucky not to take a draw and a replay back home.
To their credit, Spurs came from behind twice thanks to Son Heung-min, Vincent Janssen and Dele Alli. The former became the hero of the day after his literal last second goal eventually gave Mauricio Pochettino’s side a 4-3 win.
Wycombe had surged to a 2-0 lead thanks to Paul Hayes before Spurs clawed them back to 2-2. Stunningly Garry Thompson put them ahead again before that late show from Dele Alli and Heung-min turned it around.
It was typical of this Spurs side, often so determined and committed to the bitter end in the Premier League this season. They now go into the 5th Round draw and can be confident about their chances in the remainder of the competition.
As you’d expect, Son Heung-min’s late impact delighted supporters and they took to Twitter to share their opinion on the game…
Janssen showed today the exact reason why he needs time. Son and janssen linked up amazingly today. They were so so good

When we went 2-0 down, interesting to see that it was Son going around the team and geeing them up. Surprised but great leadership #coys

How can you not love Heung Min Son ????

Such a soft spot for Heung-min Son. He's an imperfect player but he's so unerringly positive that he creates stuff with his movement.

If anyone ever slags off Heung Min Son ever again I will find you and end it. There's no argument.

That game just defines Heung Min Son. So so inconsistent but has spells of brilliance and always comes up with big goals it seems.
