After a dramatic Saturday afternoon of Premier League action, Tottenham Hotspur cut the gap on league leaders Chelsea to seven points.
With the Blues suffering a shock defeat at home to Crystal Palace, Spurs’ hard fought victory away to Burnley takes on extra significance, many supporters now believing they can close the gap on Antonio Conte’s men at the top of the table.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side came away from Turf Moor with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Eric Dier and Son Heung-Min, proving that they can still get results without talismanic striker Harry Kane.
There are now just nine games remaining in the Premier League but with seven of those against teams in the bottom half of the table, Tottenham fans are confident they can rack up the points.
Pundits and supporters of all teams have been treating Chelsea as certainties to win the league for months now but if nothing else, Saturday’s action has at least asked the question of Antonio Conte’s men to seal the deal with a little bit of pressure on their shoulders.
Supporting your team is often all about hope, and Spurs fans have plenty of that right now.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
