After 118 years at White Hart Lane, it’s time for Tottenham Hotspur to say goodbye to the old stadium as they embark on a new adventure in a brand new arena.
One of the most famous, iconic and atmospheric grounds in England, Spurs fans are bracing themselves for what is sure to be an emotional day as they host Manchester United.
Moving into Wembley next season, Spurs are expected to move into their new, permanent digs for the start of the 2018/19 season, an exciting and bright future for a side with serious ambition over the next decade.
Supporters know that saying goodbye to the old ground is necessary if they are to advance and move on as a club but it’s no less sad to leave behind memories – both good and bad – this afternoon.
They’ll be hoping the team can muster one last classic performance and defeat Jose Mourinho’s Man United, despite having nothing to play for.
It’s a day for the fans and Mauricio Pochettino’s side must respond.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on one last day at the Lane…
