Tottenham Hotspur were in impressive form on Saturday, picking up a big 3-0 win away to Everton at Goodison Park.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men looked in the kind of form that made them such a force in the English Premier League last term, blitzing an expensively assembled Toffees side in front of their own fans.
Harry Kane opened his league account with a double, bringing his career total Spurs tally beyond 100 goals. With Christian Eriksen also netting, Tottenham’s top stars look like they’re reaching the peak of their powers.
However, it was a less established performer that caught the eye of some supporters. Davinson Sanchez, just 21 years of age, started his first match for the London club and put in an accomplished and comfortable performance at centre-back.
With little troubling him all day, Spurs fans were left in no doubt that the Colombian international would be a hit for the club this season.
They took to Twitter to deliver their verdict on his first start…

#THFC fans have endured poor debuts in the past, but Davinson Sanchez's bow today is surely one of the best in the club's recent history.
