Sunderland fans blame David Moyes for devastating relegation

Saturday was a dark day in the history of Sunderland AFC, who were relegated after a 1-0 home defeat to Bournemouth at the Stadium Of Light.

The Black Cats had enjoyed a 10 year stay in the top-flight but the result means they are now 13 points adrift of 17th place Hull City with just four games remaining of the campaign.

It ends an incredible streak of unlikely survivals with the club seemingly always able to pull results out of the bag in the closing stages of a season. However, in David Moyes’ first term in charge, that’s all changed.

The Scotsman is on the receiving end of much of the anger of supporters, many believing he should have done a much better job at the club despite obvious issues off the park too.

Is he the man to blame?

Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts with some even picking their ideal replacement should Moyes leave…
