Having pulled off perhaps the masterstroke of his negotiating career in landing a British record-breaking fee for Kyle Walker, Daniel Levy has plenty to spend on a replacement for the now Manchester City man, however, it's unlikely the north Londoners will be breaking any records of their own given Levy's love for a bargain.

Though, with Walker gone and only Kieran Trippier left to navigate a season in which manager Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to push even further both in the Premier League and on the continent, a replacement is needed.

With that in mind, last season's runners-up are being linked with a move for Porto full-back Ricardo Pereira, but will have to stump up just under half the Walker fee in order to land a deal for the 23-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Nice.

Despite the Portuguese outfit asking for £22m for their versatile right-back, who can also be deployed on the left if needs be, it could well be the cheapest Spurs are quoted for a target this summer, now the whole world knows just how much they are sitting on.

Fans from the Lilywhite half of north London, though, are rightfully excited about a deal for the £7.65m-rated man...
