Tottenham Hotspur outcast Moussa Sissoko was handed a rare start by manager Mauricio Pochettino in the incredible 6-1 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

The £30m arrival from Newcastle United last season has found regular first team football hard to come by for Spurs following his move to the capital, and he has sometimes struggled to impress Pochettion and the fans when he has been on the pitch.

The France international was named at right wing-back with both Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier absent because of injury, meaning the usually attack-minded star had to be aware of his defensive duties too.

Sissoko almost completed just his second 90 minutes of the Premier League campaign before he was replaced by Georges-Kevin N’Koudou in the dying embers.

Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the 27-year-old’s performance via social media following the final whistle, and while some believe it was an improved showing in an unfamiliar position, others were not impressed.
