Tottenham fans have mixed feelings ahead of Newcastle clash

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to get their Premier League campaign off to a winning start when they face newly-promoted Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday.

Spurs have finished third and second respectively over the course of the last two seasons and they will be hoping they can once again challenge for the title this term, despite the fact that they have lost Kyle Walker to Manchester City and are yet to bring in any new additions to the squad.

The Premier League certainly through up a few surprising results on Saturday as Liverpool drew 3-3 with Watford, Chelsea lost 3-2 at home to Burnley and Huddersfield won 3-0 away at Crystal Palace, and the north London outfit will need to be wary – especially as they were beaten 5-1 by Newcastle at St James’ Park on the final day of the 2015/16 campaign.

Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say ahead of the match via social media, and they were divided with their opinions.

While some are confident that they will get revenge for that previous humiliation, others are worried after yesterday’s scorelines.
