Tottenham fans lavish praise on £36m-rated attacker

When considering that Christian Eriksen cost Tottenham Hotspur just £11m from Ajax in the summer of 2013, the signing of the Denmark international has to go down as one of the club’s best in recent memory.

Indeed, Eriksen, who is valued at £36m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has scored 44 times in 186 appearances for the London club – including 12 in 48 matches during the 2016-17 campaign.

The 25-year-old’s relationship with fellow attackers Harry Kane and Dele Alli has become a key part of Tottenham’s success over the last couple of seasons, and it would be fair to say that he is one of the club’s most popular players with the supporters.

On Friday, Tottenham’s official Twitter account paid tribute to Eriksen, who is now the highest scoring Dane in Premier League history.

As expected, the response section was filled with praise for the attacker, who is surely on the radar of the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
