Tottenham fans mock Mark Noble after Harry Winks’ England call-up

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks received his first call up to the senior England team on Monday, and Spurs fans were quick to mock West Ham United’s Mark Noble following Gareth Southgate’s decision.

The Three Lions manager opted to promote Winks from the Under-21 squad following Fabian Delph’s withdrawal through injury, and it means that the 21-year-old has now been called up to the squad more times than the Irons captain.

While he perhaps hasn’t been at his best this season, Hammers supporters have often been left bewildered as to how Noble hasn’t been given a chance for his country, and this is just the latest setback for the 30-year-old.

Tottenham supporters wasted little time in poking fun at the West Ham skipper via social media, and while many laughed that Winks “has barely played” but is already closer to an England cap, others simply said “better luck next time”.
